Briargate and Pine Creek are located in the suburbs of northern Colorado Springs yet are within close distance of the highway for easy access to other parts of the city. Being that they are situated at the foothills of the Rocky Mountains, these neighborhoods have ample outdoor activities to partake in.
Dining, Entertainment & Shopping
There are many dining options near Briargate and Pine Creek. If you’re a fan of brunch, the Urban Egg is a must-try. Their award-winning breakfast and lunch menus feature gourmet pancakes and eggs Benedict, along with fantastic brunch cocktails. Other local favorites include the Lazy Dog, which serves up global comfort food, and Back East Bar & Grill, which is a pizza shop and sports bar.
The Icon Cinema is a popular hangout spot for locals. The theater even offers luxurious VIP seating for some of its movies! The Briargate YMCA is another fun place to get the family together. One of the biggest draws to living in Briargate or Pine Creek is their convenient location to amenities throughout the city. Focus on the Family is a faith-based center that offers all types of fun activities for families. Children love the Kids’ Korner playground and Whit’s End Soda Shoppe, while the Bookstore is a cozy area for adults.
The neighborhoods have plenty of outdoor recreation to enjoy too. John Venezia Community Park is a recently built ranch-themed park that touts state-of-the-art sports fields, tennis courts, and even a water park! There are also several trails you can hike while taking in the stunning views of the Rocky Mountains. The Pine Creek Golf Course is a premier public golf course created by golf course architect Richard Phelps. This championship course offers 18 rounds of challenging holes surrounded by natural grasslands and meandering creeks. The golf club also has top-quality chipping and putting greens, a target-oriented driving range, and a magnificent clubhouse and pro shop.
Schools
Briargate and Pine Creek have excellent schools that are served by the esteemed D20 Academy School District. There are 21 elementary schools, eight middle schools, and seven high schools, all of which have high test scores. The United States Air Force Academy is housed in Colorado Springs as well.
