Falcon is an unincorporated community located in El Paso County. The area is well-known for the stately neighborhood of Meridian Ranch. This master-planned community features elegant Colorado-Inspired Contemporary and Mid-Century Modern homes. Meridian Ranch has a magnificent Rec Center and many state-of-the-art amenities. Residents can enjoy fitness classes, parks with multiple trails, and year-round indoor and outdoor pools. There is even a golf course and community garden located in the heart of the neighborhood. 
 
Peyton is a tiny farm town northeast of Colorado Springs. The community is well-liked among horse and livestock owners, and living on a ranch is the norm. The neighborhoods in Peyton contain very big lots with a mix of new and classic homes. The community is quiet and unchanging, offering a peaceful atmosphere for those seeking solitude and familiarity.

Local Lifestyle

Falcon and Peyton are little country towns full of character. Locals here are friendly, and the environment is very woodsy. From 18 rounds of golf to horseback riding, there is a plethora of excellent outdoor recreation to take part in. Falcon and Peyton are a short drive from downtown Colorado Springs yet away from bustle of city life. Hence, these rural communities are like tranquil oases set in the beautiful Colorado countryside. Living in Falcon and Peyton offers a lot of privacy, as the lots and homes that sit on them are both grand. Neighborhoods in the area are spacious, especially those that are vast ranches.
 

Dining, Entertainment & Shopping

The dining scene in Falcon and Peyton has a Mexican flair. Guadalajara Family Mexican Restaurant and La Mission Mexican Restaurant serve traditional Mexican cuisine. Savor authentic tamales, burritos, enchiladas, and tacos made with the finest ingredients. Both restaurants make delicious sopapillas and flan for dessert too. The Grill at Latigo represents the area’s country roots with hearty breakfasts and homestyle dinners. There’s even “Chuck Wagon Cookouts” with meats that come straight from the restaurant’s smoke pit and grill. For drinks, there’s the Purple Toad Social Tap & Grill. This is a fun sports bar that also serves awesome pizza, wings, burgers, and wraps.
 
The Latigo Equestrian Center is a popular spot to hang out and watch some live entertainment. This 45-acre world-class horse facility contains three arenas used for lessons, open riding, and events. Residents can take barrel lessons or admire team roping challenges. The equestrian center is also a place to board horses and take therapeutic rides. As mentioned, Latigo has its onsite restaurant along with quaint retail shops.
 
The Shops at Meridian Ranch is the main retail complex in the area. Here, residents can find high-end shops, mouthwatering eateries, trendy bars, medical offices, and other services.
 

Things to Do

The charming towns of Falcon and Peyton have all types of outdoor recreation opportunities to take advantage of. Numerous trails throughout the communities are ideal for walking, biking, running, or horseback riding.  
 
Antler Creek Golf Course is the premier golf site in the area. Measuring over 8,000 yards, this “prairie dunes style” course is Colorado’s longest. Wide fairways meander through gorgeous communities for a challenging yet pleasant game of golf. Antler Creek has a well-maintained practice facility and regularly holds customized tournaments as well.
